David McDowell, II

PRESIDENT

David McDowell is a Quality Assurance Specialist at KCIC in Washington, DC. As President of the Alabama State Society, David oversees the execution of the goals and purpose of the organization. He is a native Alabamian, and has a passion for technology, business, and politics.

 

Kelsey Montgomery

VICE PRESIDENT

Kelsey Montgomery is from Florence, AL and graduated from the University of Alabama in 2019 with an undergraduate degree in chemistry. She continued her education at UA where she received an MBA in 2020 and moved to DC shortly after graduation. Kelsey currently works for Booz Allen Hamilton as a Senior Consultant in their National Security Sector. She enjoys playing tennis, going to DC sports games, and attending State Society and UA Alumni events.

 

Woodham Kemmer

TREASURER

Woodham is from Centreville, AL. He serves as Chief of Staff at TAG Strategies, a full-service marketing and creative agency where he assists clients in digital fundraising, persuasion, and GOTV efforts from the local to the national level of politics. He graduated from Sewanee: The University Of The South. As Treasurer, Woodham oversees the financial records and transactions of the organization to assist in coordinating and executing events.

 

Matt Reed

COMMUNICATIONS DIRECTOR

Matt is from Talladega, Alabama and serves as the Press Secretary to Congressman Robert Aderholt (AL-04). He is a graduate of Jacksonville State University with a degree in Public Relations. As Communications Director, Matt oversees the publicity and social media of the State Society.

 

Joseph Ballard

SOCIAL CHAIR

Joe currently serves as a Legislative Assistant in the US House of Representatives. Before moving to D.C., he studied at the University of Alabama where he earned a B.S. in Economics and Finance, as well as a M.S. in Economics. Joe is an avid Alabama football and basketball fan, and as social chair, oversees the execution and funding of events.
